Times Foundation, the social arm of the Times Group, won the National Corporate Social Responsibility Award on Thursday.
The CSR National Leadership Award instituted by World CSR Day and World Sustainability Organization is intensely researched. The research cell consists of postgraduates in psychology, sociology, history and management, with over 10-year research experience. The team shortlists organizations who are doing extraordinary work and track their achievements. The list is then reviewed by a jury consisting of senior leaders, researchers and academicians. The jury examines sustainable mobilization of resources in support of a programme and project work, including support from local communities, incorporation of ethical values, demonstration of efficient management of financial and human resources and good governance practices.
The award was given away by Prof Indira Parikh, president, Antardisha and former dean, IIM-Ahmedabad.
